The community event is for everyone but it is highly recommended for people at risk of or living with, diabetes and chronic disease including but not limited to mental illness, cardiovascular disease (CVD), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), dementia and musculoskeletal disease.
This event is designed to help you stay healthy and get more out of life. At the event, you’ll hear from Scott Tomkins, physical health worker at Royal Flying Doctor Service and Elisa Williams who is a Credentialled Diabetes Educator at Diabetes Tasmania.
Join us to learn more about the benefits of physical activity and eating well. You’ll also have the opportunity to take a ‘risk assessment test’ to find out if you may be at risk of diabetes as well as information about diabetes prevention and self-management for those already diagnosed with diabetes.
There is a light lunch provided on the day but places are strictly limited.
