How You Can Help
Diabetes Tasmania is an independent, non-government not for profit organisation, operating solely in Tasmania. All funds raised remain in Tasmania.
Our fundraising subsidises the clinical services we provide to the 26,964 Tasmanians affected by all types of diabetes. This means greater access to Diabetes Educators and Accredited Practicing Dietitians for people with diabetes who need specialised education and information about their disease.
There are many ways in which you can help us here at Diabetes Tasmania - both now and in the future. You can donate to a specific program like our Type One Youth Support (TOYS) Program. You can simply DONATE NOW. You can talk to us about leaving a bequest in your will or in memoriam giving.
Become a Hero for people living with diabetes, through workplace giving or setting up your own fundraising page through our Everyday Hero site.
If you would like more information on Community Fundraising you will find our Community Fundraising guidelines here and our Community Fundraising registration here. If you would like to speak with some one about fundraising or other ways in which you can help us here at Diabetes Tasmania, please contact Ange Headlam, Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator by email
You could also help us by telling us YOUR story of diabetes, this may be published on our website, social media or in one of our magazines - YOU can help spread awareness of diabetes and let people know what living with diabetes is like on a day to day basis.
